We endeavour to add tips, tricks, and how-to's on C++Builder here for you.
These will be added infrequently, though we aim for them to contain information
that you won't find on other web sites. The examples and tutorials will range
from quick IDE tips to detailed code techniques in particular areas.
Use the information and source code however you want. If you have any suggestions,
have fixed or enhanced any of the code that we have provided, or have a great
application that uses the techniques then we'd like to hear about it! You can
contact Jarrod Hollingworth at jarrod@backslash.com.au.

PAD (portable application description) files are becoming the standard for
describing all aspects of your software and company for submission to software
web sites (such as FileGuru.com, GoodFiles.com, SoftPile.com, and Simtel.net)
and is increasing in popularity. It enables you to submit your software to PAD
enabled sites simply by uploading or providing the URL of your products PAD file,
and avoid having to manually enter the product information into a lengthy form
for submission.
See the Software Author Resources link below for a list of software web sites
that are PAD enabled.

Headlines Direct is a Freeware application that demonstrates how to incorporate
live product news and marketing information with direct web links within your
own application, similar to the C++Builder Direct application in C++Builder which
displays a list of links to web pages about C++Builder news, downloads, web sites,
and so on.
It demonstrates the simple use of TTreeView, TNMHTTP, TMemIniFile, TToolBar
and TStatusBar, extracting the version information from an application, loading
a web page in the default browser and an email in the default email program. Full
source code is included.
See it in ACTION! To see Headlines Direct in a commercial application
