Do the laptops have Windows installed? The laptops come formatted ready for you to install your own Operating System of choice, such as Windows 95/98/ME/NT/200/XP. We can pre-install Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or RedHat Linux for an additional cost per week. Simply select the appropriate Operating System option in Step 1 of the rental application. Can I install my own software? You can install your own software (we re-initialise the laptops prior to each rental). Do you rent to <city/town> and what are the shipping costs? We rent to anywhere in Australia. All laptops are conveniently shipped to your door. Please note that shipping charges apply and vary depending on your location. We ask for your postcode in Step 1 of the rental application and shipping costs are displayed in Step 2. We use the fastest possible shipping method. This is usually Australia Post Parcel Post Express depending on your location. Parcel Post Express typically takes 1 business day to all capital cities except Darwin. You are not charged for laptop rental during shipping. What payment methods do you accept? We only accept payment via direct deposit, with rental paid two weeks in advance for rentals up to 6 weeks duration and monthly in advance for rentals over 6 weeks in duration. Paying by direct deposit is quite simple and can be done in any of the following ways:
Pay the initial payment (which includes shipping costs and a refundable security deposit) to us as a "once-off" payment and then simply set up a recurring payment for the remainder of the rental duration (if using payment option A or B above). Note: Activating the "pay anyone" facility on your account can take several days with some banks, therefore we recommend that you do this as soon as possible. Activating "pay anyone" can usually be done online via Internet banking. See the following links or contact your bank for more information. Westpac/Bank
